Well that's certainly...uplifting
I actually think that the Flaming Lips song from whose lyrics I took the title of this post is one of the most uplifting things I've ever heard:
"Do you realize that everyone you know someday will die? And instead of saving all of your goodbyes let them know
you realize that life goes fast it's hard to make the good times last..."
When we remember how short a time we have then all the stupid shit we let upset us seems so insignificant and we realize how beautiful and amazing each brief moment we have is.
I'm pretty sure that, in general, the Flaming Lips are incapable of writing genuinely depressing songs.
So true.
